EARTHQUAKE! A collection of funny tweets from the East Coast epicenter and beyond

How cool is this? On the US East Coast, somewhere between Washington, New York and Boston, a 5.9 earthquake occurred this morning.

The greatest damage was to the rest of the world which will have to listen for weeks to the citizens of those cities arguing about who was closest to the epicenter.

For a region whose denizens think a natural disaster is usually something like spilling coffee on a camels' hair coat, experiencing a gen-u-wine earthquake was quite an event. Buildings shook, some panicky people actually cancelled their luncheon reservations and, of course, in the epicenter of global media commentary, EVERYONE tweeted, texted, emailed, Youtubed and offered detailed personal assessments. Mostly without even demanding travel expenses.
