Pointed Reference: Italian Magazine Gives Away Knife Set With Amanda Knox Issue

Hmmm. Oggi means 'Today' in Italian. The magazine either has a, um, killer sense of humor or they regard the Knox verdict as an, ahem, dagger to the heart of Italian justice. JL

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports:
A pornography company’s offer to Amanda Knox might not be the low point of her post-acquittal media storm after all.

Turns out, Italian magazine Oggi is giving away a free set of knives with its cover story about Knox going free. Yes, that’s right — a knife set to commemorate the acquittal of a woman accused of killing someone with a knife.
Mediaiet points out it could just be a coincidence:

Now, it’s important to note that this magazine, which is something like Italy’s version of People, routinely features giveaways, and there’s a distinct possibility that the pairing of a knives set and a cover story on a young woman who had been embroiled in a case involving a brutal stabbing is merely coincidental.
