AppleCare+ customers who need a broken screen repair will only pay $29. Every iPhone comes with one year of hardware repair coverage and up to 90 days of free support. AppleCare + extends that coverage up to two years from your date of purchase and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage, including the cheaper repairs for cracked screens.The plan also covers the iPhone, battery, earphones and accessories.
Apple has made it cheaper to repair a broken iPhone screen.
Good news for those who have ever experienced the trauma of a cracked screen.
Among the myriad of details that accompanied the tech giant's release of the new iPhone 7 and Apple Watch, the company slid in some information about its repair program known as AppleCare +.
Apple has traditionally charged $99 for repairs for its most recent products and $79 for work on older products. Now, Apple will charge a flat $99 for all incidental repairs under AppleCare+. AppleCare+'s enrollment fee - $129 – remains the same.
For one of the most common repairs, however, there will be a noticeable price drop.
