Ukraine Repulses Russian Armored Attacks In Zaporizhzhia With Heavy Losses

The Russian military continues to underestimate the Ukrainians' ability to target and destroy uncoordinated and poorly planned Russian attacks anywhere along the front. JL

The Russian command sent T-72 tanks and MT-LB armored personnel carriers with infantry into battle. The Ukrainian military monitored the movement of invaders using drones with thermal imagers. The Russian convoy was immediately hit by artillery of the Ukrainian Forces' 228th Separate Battalion of the 127th Territorial Defense Brigade using high-explosive and cluster shells. Ukrainian attack drones finished off the armored vehicles and Russian infantry.

In Zaporizhzhia, the Ukrainian military defeated the Russian armored group, which tried to advance near Pryiutne.

Footage from the battle was shown by the soldiers of the 228th Separate Battalion of the 127th Territorial Defense Brigade.

Then Ukrainian attack drones began to finish off the abandoned armored vehicles and Russian infantry, on which explosives were dropped.

 

“We continuously destroy the enemy and his equipment in the Zaporizhzhia sector,” the TDF noted.

It is not the first time that the Russian command is trying to advance to Zaporizhzhia near the village of Pryiutne.

Back in January, the Defense Forces of Ukraine repulsed a massive attack by the Russian military north of the village of Pryiutne.

On January 30, the Ukrainian General Staff said that invaders had carried out 4 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
