Ukraine's 47th Brigade Repulses More Avdiivka Attacks As Russians Fail To Advance

Russian forces continue to fail to exploit their capture of Avdiivka. This is due in part to their repetitive tactics and to Ukrainians determined defense and superior western weaponry.

The Russians' inability to build on the Ukrainians' ammunition shortage bodes ill for Russia's ability to garner further significant gains. JL

Militarnyi reports:

Ukraine's 47th Mechanized Brigade defeated an assault of the Russian 15th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Alexandria Brigade in the Avdiivka direction. FPV drones caught  a BTR-80. The infantry inside the vehicle perished after the initial hit, and subsequent FPVs destroyed the combat vehicle. After that, an M2A2 Bradley ODS SA infantry fighting vehicle approached Russian infantrymen in a huddle and began to shoot them with its Bushmaster 25mm gun.

The soldiers of the 47th Mechanized Brigade defeated the Russian assault group of the 15th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Alexandria (Peacekeeping) Brigade.

This is stated in the message of the press service of the Brigade.

The battle took place in the Avdiivka direction. A group of Russian infantry moved on a BTR-80 equipped with a ‘grill’ along the entire length of the hull.

In the opening moments of the video, an anti-tank missile or grenade launcher projectile is seen flying towards the armored personnel carrier. However, the ammunition misses its target, exploding near the armored personnel carrier.

Armor gave the Russians a ride to one of the houses, after that, about 8 infantrymen got off the vehicle, and several more remained on the BTR-80.

After fulfilling its task, the armored personnel carrier departed from the landing site. However, FPV drones quickly caught up with it. It is likely that the infantry inside the vehicle perished after the initial hit, and subsequent FPVs completely destroyed the combat vehicle.

After that, the M2A2 Bradley ODS SA infantry fighting vehicle approached the previously landed Russian infantrymen almost in a huddle and began to shoot the invaders with a M242 Bushmaster 25mm gun.The Ukrainian IFV was ‘covered’ by a previously destroyed armored personnel carrier, which made it difficult to inspect and defeat it.

As a result of continuous fire, a group of Russian infantry was destroyed.

In the latest footage of the video, Ukrainian infantrymen can be seen approaching dead or wounded Russians.

Militarnyi recently reported that the soldiers of the 47th Mechanized Brigade showed the combat use of their M1A1 SA Abrams tanks in the Avdiivka direction.

In the video, you can see the presence of ARAT reactive armor.
