Ukrainians Destroy 12 Attacking Russian Tanks, 8 IFVs Near Avdiivka

One of the Russian tanks was destroyed by a Ukrainian Mavic drone whose operator flew it into the tank's open hatch and then detonated it. JL 

Militarnyi reports:

During an attempted assault near the village of Tonenke, located near Avdiyivka, the Russians lost 12 tanks and 8 IFVs (out of) 36 tanks and 12 infantry fighting vehicles in the assault on March 30. The armor belonged to the 6th Regiment of the 90th Tank Division. The Ukrainian military disrupted the assault using FPV drones. The (attached) Russian infantry tried to escape, but Ukrainian FPV drones continued hitting them.

It is reported that the enemy involved 36 tanks and 12 infantry fighting vehicles in the assault on March 30.

 

The tanks belonged to the 6th Regiment of the 90th Tank Division, and it became known that the equipment was located around the coordinates 48.14551743810157, 37.621891960517885.

The means of destruction used to disable such a large number of armored vehicles are not disclosed, and the details of this battle remain unknown.

Militarnyi previously reported that a drone destroyed the Russian T-90M Proryv tank near Tonenke.

A Mavic drone was used to drop a hand grenade into the open turret hatch.

 

After the explosion, a massive fire broke out inside the enemy tank’s combat compartment.

On March 16, it was reported that in the Avdiivka direction, in the area of Berdychi and Tonenke, the Defense Forces inflicted losses on Russians, who were trying to advance to the Ukrainian positions.

The Ukrainian military said that in the area of the village of Tonenke, they had managed to disrupt the assault of Russians using FPV drones.

Drones hit the MT-LB armored personnel carrier, which transported Russian troops.

Then, the invaders’ infantry tried to escape, but Ukrainian FPV drones continued hitting them.
