Ukraine's 47th Mech Brigade M2 Bradleys Defeat Russian Attack Near Pokrovsky

Ukraine's Bradley M2 infantry fighting vehicles once again prove that they are among the most effective, lethal weapons the US has provided Ukrainian forces.

In this battle, a long Bradley took on two Russian BTRs loaded with infantry. The Bradley annihilated the infantry riding on the vehicles beneath cope cages and then destroyed the two vehicles by itself. It is no wonder the Ukrainians want as many Bradleys as the US can provide. JL

Militarnyi reports:

The crew of the M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle of the 47th Mechanized Brigade tore apart two enemy BTR-82A with infantry. The crew waited for the moment when the enemy moved into open terrain and then opened fire with a M242 Bushmaster 25mm gun. Russian infantrymen were riding on armored vehicles covered with anti-drone “grills,” so the Ukrainian gunner first fired at the areas where the infantry were located, and then targeted the armored personnel carriers. one of the BTRs experienced a characteristic explosion, indicating ammunition onboard in addition to the infantry.

The corresponding video was released by the press service of the Brigade.

Aerial reconnaissance found that enemy armor vehicles with troops was advancing into the brigade’s area of responsibility. After that, the crew of the “Tykhyy” quickly moved to the firing position.

It can be seen that one of the BTR-82A vehicles experienced a characteristic explosion, evidently on its hull, indicating ammunition onboard in addition to the infantry.

As a result of the firepower effect, armored personnel carriers could not continue to move, and the surviving Russian infantry lay in a field near the stricken armored vehicles.

The high accuracy of the fire did not leave some of the occupiers with a chance of survival.

M2 Bradley combat performance

Militarnyi reported on May 17, 2024, that M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles of the 47th Mechanized Brigade destroyed the invaders in the Pokrovsky sector.

The released footage showed how the M2A2 Bradley ODS SA infantry fighting vehicle almost came close to the positions of the invaders in the forest line, and worked on them with a M242 Bushmaster 25mm gun.

On May 2, it was reported that the 47th Brigade repelled the mechanized assault of the invaders near Ocheretyne.

During the repulse of the assault, a Russian MT-LB carrying infantry was shot point-blank by a Bradley.

Artillery and infantry fighting forces stopped the offensive, after which kamikaze drone operators destroyed damaged armored vehicles and finished off the remains of assault groups hiding in buildings and basements.

Previously, on March 1, Militarnyi reported that the soldiers of the brigade defeated the assault group of the 15th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Alexandria (Peacekeeping) Brigade.

The M2A2 Bradley ODS SA infantry fighting vehicle drove up to the Russian infantry almost in a huddle and began to shoot the invaders with a M242 Bushmaster 25mm gun.

The Ukrainian IFV was “covered” by a previously destroyed armored personnel carrier, which made it difficult to inspect and defeat it.

As a result of continuous fire, a group of Russian infantry was destroyed.
