Ukraine's Border Guards Brigade Stop Latest Russian Bakhmut Assaults

This appears to be part of a larger narrative in which rearmed and reinforced Ukrainian brigades across the front - from Kharkiv in the north, to Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Vuhledar in the east and Kherson in the south have been increasingly successful at defeating new Russian attacks. JL 

Militarnyi reports:

On the night of June 5, Russian troops, supported by tanks, armored personnel carriers, and infantry fighting vehicles, stormed Ukrainian positions in the Bakhmut sector. Border guards of the ‘Revenge' Brigade, in cooperation with other units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, fought off the assault. As a result, the Russians withdrew with significant losses of personnel and armored vehicles. A Russian T-90M Proryv main battle tank was destroyed using an FPV drone.

Border guards of the ‘Pomsta’ (Revenge – ed.) Brigade, in cooperation with other units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, fought off an enemy assault in the Bakhmut sector.

On the night of June 5, Russian troops, supported by tanks, armored personnel carriers, and infantry fighting vehicles, stormed Ukrainian positions.

 

As a result of the fire, the enemy withdrew with significant losses of personnel and armored vehicles.Border guards released a video of the destruction of an abandoned Russian T-90M Proryv main battle tank using an FPV drone.

The operator skillfully guided the drone into the turret hatch, after which the drone’s warhead detonated.

On May 29, Militarnyi reported that soldiers of the 79th Border Guard Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine had hit a Russian jet ski that was trying to deliver provisions to Krasnykivsky Island.

 

The published footage shows two Russian soldiers riding a jet ski and docking at the shore. At this point, they are overtaken and hit by an FPV drone.

At least one Russian was killed in the attack.

On May 15, it was reported that border guards of the Pomsta Brigade stopped the Russian assault in the Donetsk region.

 

At dawn, the enemy reportedly tried to storm the border guards’ positions with two tanks, five armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, and about 40 infantrymen.
