100 New Russian Army Conscripts Attempt To Escape Base Near Crimea

It sounds like reports of the recent fighting in Ukraine are not instilling confidence and patriotic desire in the hearts of new Russian conscripts bound for the front. JL

Espreso Global reports:

On Friday, April 18, in the Russian city of Krasnodar, east of Crimea, approximately 100 soldiers, believed to be new conscripts, attempted to flee a military unit by breaking down a fence. Police had cordoned off the street near military bases, and law enforcement officers were inspecting cars. Due to the ongoing escapes of wounded Russian soldiers from hospitals in occupied Crimea, Russian Guard representatives are now tasked with guarding them.

On Friday, April 18, in the Russian city of Krasnodar, about a hundred soldiers reportedly attempted to flee a military unit; these may have been conscripts

Russian propagandists from RT wrote about this.

It was noted that the police had cordoned off the street near one of the military units, and law enforcement officers were inspecting the cars. There were also many security forces at the scene.

The Krasnodar Interior Ministry says it is checking information about the possible escape of conscripts.

The Baza Telegram channel, in turn, writes that probably about a hundred soldiers tried to escape from the military unit.

“According to preliminary data, servicemen who left the unit without permission are being held in a specially fenced area on the territory of one of the military commandant's offices. Tonight, about a hundred of them broke down the fence of the territory where they were being held and entered the territory of the military commandant's office,” the statement said.

It is stated that the soldiers were allegedly unarmed, and no casualties were reported.

Later, the Baza telegram channel reported that only seven Russian soldiers managed to escape from the military unit: four of them were caught, three are on the run.

Due to the ongoing escapes of wounded Russian soldiers from hospitals in the temporarily occupied Crimea, Russian Guard representatives are now tasked with guarding them.
