Sumy Area Russian Bunkers, Troops, UAV Controllers Hit With Precision Strikes

Precision Ukrainian drone strikes on rear area Russian logistics, command and control and drone launch sites are disrupting Russian attempts to gear up new offensive efforts.

The Russians have been attempting a spring-summer offensive for months, but Ukrainian drone attacks as well as surprise Ukrainian ground assaults have repeatedly forced the Russians to delay their efforts. JL

Ukrainian Border Guard drone units delivered a series of precision strikes against Russian UAV launch and control points, fortified shelters, equipment and personnel. In the Donetsk sector, Phoenix unit drone pilots executed a precision strike that neutralized a Russian R-330 Zhitel electronic warfare station and a Murom-P long-range surveillance system. The nighttime mission also destroyed nearby shelters, ammunition storage, and enemy vehicles.

Combat drone units of Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service have delivered a series of precision strikes against russian forces in the Sumy region, destroying enemy UAV control points, fortified shelters, equipment, and personnel

The operation was executed by UAV operators of the Prime combat drone unit, part of the 5th Border Guard Detachment. According to official reports, the drones successfully eliminated enemy dugouts, shelters, a munitions cache, and communications gear. Among the confirmed targets were a russian UAV launch-and-control site, a mortar position, transport vehicles, and manpower concentrations.

Video released by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine showcases the precision and efficiency of the drone operators.


“The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine continues to defend the nation's borders with precision and determination. Units like Prime from the 5th Detachment play a critical role in joint defense operations,” the agency stated.

In the Kharkiv direction, UAV operators of the Phoenix unit of the Pomsta (Revenge) Brigade carried out a series of high-impact attacks. Their latest missions resulted in the destruction of three UAZ vans (Bukhanka), two logistics trucks, three motorcycles, a civilian vehicle, two communications antennas, a forward POL (petroleum, oil, and lubricants) depot, and three fortified russian positions.
