Ukrainian Surprise Attack Destroys Russian Preparations At Kupiansk, Kursk

Ukrainians forces are not passively waiting for the Russians to attack towards Kharkiv as numerous reports have revealed they are preparing to do.

Instead, Ukraine has disrupted the obvious Russian preparations, degrading their forces and making it more difficult to launch attacks, let alone succeed in doing so. JL

Sofiia Syngaivska reports in Defense Express:

Ukrainian forces in the Kupiansk sector of Kharkiv region destroyed or damaged 600 russian underground shelters, nine ammunition depots, and eight makeshift river crossings. These precision strikes were part of a broader strategy to prevent the enemy from establishing a presence on the right bank of the Oskil River. The operation, carried out by air assault troops and specialized units, aimed to disrupt Russia's attempts to expand its foothold across the Oskil River. Ukrainian forces eliminated 49 howitzers and cannons, 17 vehicles and motorcycles, three boats, two artillery systems, and two tanks. 439 invaders were killed or wounded during the operation, while six were captured

The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, specifically the Timur special unit, has delivered a significant blow to russian forces in the Kupiansk sector of Kharkiv region. The operation, carried out by air assault troops and a coalition of specialized units, aimed to disrupt russia's attempts to expand its foothold across the Oskil River.

Over the course of the mission, Ukrainian operatives destroyed or damaged nearly 600 russian underground shelters, nine ammunition depots, and eight makeshift river crossings. These precision strikes were part of a broader strategy to prevent the enemy from establishing a stable presence on the right bank of the Oskil River.

The destruction wasn't limited to fortifications. Ukrainian forces targeted and eliminated a wide range of enemy hardware, including 49 howitzers and cannons, 17 vehicles and motorcycles, three boats, two artillery systems, and two tanks. Each strike reflected a calculated effort to degrade russia's battlefield logistics and firepower.

Personnel losses for the russian side were equally severe. A total of 439 invaders were reported killed or wounded during the operation, while six were captured and added to Ukraine's exchange pool. These figures underscore the operation's intensity and the effectiveness of Ukraine's intelligence-led, high-mobility combat strategy.

A recently released video from the front lines captures the essence of the operation. It features airborne assaults, intense close-quarters engagements, and scenes of explosive artillery fire. Viewers also witness FPV drone operators executing precise strikes on enemy positions, as well as sabotage missions deep in hostile territory, including ambushes and prisoner captures.

The operation was a joint effort involving a wide range of units under the Timur special unit umbrella. These include Younger, RDK, Bratstvo, Nobody, Stugna, Chimera, Paragon, BDK, Siberian Battalion, Aratta, 1514, Art Division, First Line, and Raven Group. Each team brought a distinct capability, contributing to the success of this complex, multi-pronged assault.

This operation reflects a growing shift in Ukraine's approach to warfare, leveraging speed, surprise, and coordination over static defense. With their eyes on retaking temporarily occupied territory, the special forces continue to prove that intelligence-driven warfare and tactical agility can outmaneuver even a numerically superior foe.
