Chechen Akhmat Convoy Ambushed, 7 Killed In Occupied Melitopol

No rest for the embattled. 

Continuing their campaign of resistance and sabotage behind Russian lines in occupied Ukrainian territory, Ukrainian forces ambushed a military convoy near occupied Melitopol, killing five Chechen Akhmats, two Russian soldiers and destroying the electronic warfare system they were accompanying. JL

Ukraine's Defence Intelligence and the resistance movement carried out a successful operation on the outskirts of the occupied city of Melitopol on 2 August, killing five troops from the Akhmat unit, a Chechen military group. when the van in which they were riding was blown up.Two additional Russian soldiers were injured by the blast while traveling in a separate vehicle. A Russian mobile electronic warfare (EW) system accompanying the convoy was also destroyed in the explosion.

Details: Defence Intelligence reports that a minibus carrying Akhmat soldiers was blown up, killing all five on board.

Two additional Russian soldiers were injured by the blast while traveling in a separate vehicle nearby.

A Russian mobile electronic warfare (EW) system accompanying the convoy was also destroyed in the explosion, Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence stated.

The strike forms part of an ongoing campaign by Ukrainian special services and resistance groups operating in temporarily Russian-occupied territories aimed at weakening occupation forces and sabotaging logistical assets.

No official comment has been made by Russian authorities as of the time of publication.

Earlier, it was reported that Atesh partisans burned a Russian mobile electronic warfare vehicle in occupied Melitopol, claiming to have disrupted drone‑operator capabilities belonging to the 64th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade.
