Ukraine Assault Units Continue To Clear Russians Out of Zaporizhzia Oblast

The much heralded Russian offensive in Zaporizhzhia oblast appears to have ended like the one in Sumy: with no gains and heavy Russian casualties.

This pattern has repeated itself across the front - with the possible exception being Pokrovsk, at the moment - as the Kremlin's forces again fail to achieve the goals set fore them. JL

Oleksandr Shumilin reports in Ukraine Pravda:

The Ukrainian defence forces have cleared Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhzhia of enemy groups that had infiltrated and then lingered on the southern outskirts and tried to gain a foothold. "The enemy tried to infiltrate and gather in small groups in the urban area, but was detected in time and mercilessly destroyed. The 210th Assault Regiment's 1st Assault Battalion completed the mission without any personnel losses"
