Ukrainians Destroy Russian Fuel Train In Zaporizhzhia, Wrecking Rail Logistics Line

Russian railway connections running through the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhya Oblast (have been destroyed). “Epic footage” show the destruction of a Russian freight train carrying tank cars. The Russians transport fuel at night and by trucks to try to avoid such losses but night drones now make such efforts redundant. 

Russian railway connections running through the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhya Oblast no longer exist, Petro Andryushchenko, head of the Center for the Study of the Occupation, reported on Telegram on Aug. 19.

“It’s burning out. The train,” Andryushchenko commented on footage of a railway fire.

He described the “epic footage” as showing the destruction of a Russian freight train carrying tank cars.

Earlier on Aug. 19, Andryushchenko reported that a Russian train with tank cars was blown up in the area between Urozhayne and Tokmak.

 

“The train derailed and is now being finished off with everything that can fly. It’s burning beautifully,” he said, noting that Ukraine’s Defense Forces are destroying Russian logistics.

 

The strike on the Russian train was carried out by fighters from the Roniny unit of the Unmanned Systems Battalion of the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade.
