David Axe reports in Trench Art:
One of the biggest Russian assaults in weeks involved dozens of tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and all terrain vehicles. The Russian forces attacked in four columns north of Myrnohrad, with at least two Russian groups mounted on horses. Ukrainian mines, drones and artillery defeated the attack. And horses. Yes, horses. At least two Russian troops attacked on horseback. Out of respect for the horses, I won’t show you what happened to at least one of the poor beasts.

The Monday morning attack around the village of Razine, five miles north of the ruins of Myrnohrad in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk Oblast, ended in disaster for the four Russian columns.
Russian commanders clearly hoped the winter fog would obscure the operation. But drones with thermal cameras can see right through the fog. And the nearby Kazenyi Torets River tends to channel advancing forces along predictable routes.
