UATV reports:
Ukrainian servicemen continue to inflict heavy losses on Russian forces in Huliaipole, Zaporizhzhia oblast, turning the town into hell for the invaders. Ukrainian drones effectively control both the frontline and the enemy’s rear. Operators of the “Black Swan” unit within the 225th Regiment carried out precision strikes on Russian positions using drone-dropped munitions. Russian troops are assaulting Huliaipole in waves, losing an estimated 250–300 personnel daily. In December alone, the enemy reportedly lost more than 10,000 troops on the southern axis, with around 70% of those losses occurring in the Huliaipole area. Wounded occupiers reportedly chose not to attempt evacuation and instead took their own lives.
Ukrainian servicemen continue to inflict heavy losses on Russian occupying forces in Huliaipole, Zaporizhzhia region, effectively turning the town into hell for the invaders. A significant role in this is played by the active use of Ukrainian drones, which effectively control both the frontline and the enemy’s rear. This was reported by servicemen of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment, according to UATV English.
Operators of the “Black Swan” unit within the 225th Regiment carried out precision strikes on Russian positions using drone-dropped munitions. As a result of the attacks, several Russian servicemen were wounded and cut off from the ability to safely leave the area.
The wounded occupiers reportedly chose not to attempt evacuation and instead took their own lives. Aerial footage released by the Ukrainian side demonstrates the severe moral and psychological state of the enemy. Ukraine’s Defence Forces emphasize that drones remain one of the key tools for deterring and wearing down Russian troops.
At the same time, the spokesperson for Ukraine’s Southern Defence Forces, Vladyslav Voloshyn, told RBC-Ukraine that the situation in Huliaipole remains one of the most difficult on the southern front. The town is almost completely destroyed and has effectively become a large-scale “grey zone.”
Fighting is continuous—both within the town itself and on its outskirts. According to the Southern Defence Forces, Russian troops are assaulting Huliaipole in waves, losing an estimated 250–300 personnel daily. In December alone, the enemy reportedly lost more than 10,000 troops on the southern axis, with around 70% of those losses occurring specifically in the Huliaipole area.
Ukrainian forces continue to hold the town, thwarting Russian attempts to gain a foothold and cutting their logistics. Voloshyn said the enemy is actively using aviation, drones, and small-unit tactics, and is also preparing to employ thermobaric munitions. Despite sustained pressure, Huliaipole remains a key defensive position; without capturing it, Russian forces are unable to advance toward Zaporizhzhia.
Earlier, the partisan movement Atesh reported that in temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region, Russian forces are preparing systematic repression against the civilian population.
