Ukraine's Kill Zones Have Ended Russia's Remaining Kharkiv Attempts

There is a certain consistency to combat reports from Ukraine now, despite variations due to sector and terrain: Russian troops are attacking in small groups, not gaining much, with little evidence anywhere of Russian armor.

The overall impression is of a Russian military having spent what resources it had and now attempting to keep up appearances in hopes that Putin can gain by bravado and subterfuge what his army has failed to take on the battlefield. JL

Ukrainian forces have the Lyptsi sector in the Kharkiv region under control, having established a firing zone that prevents Russian vehicles from breaking through. Russian forces are currently using small-group tactics. "The enemy advances on foot, in groups of 3–4, but this brings them no success. We are effectively eliminating them. So far, this is the only tactic they are using. Armored vehicles rarely reach us. We have created a kill zone in this direction that neither light nor, especially, armored vehicles can enter."

Rysak, commander of the strike-UAV company in the reconnaissance battalion of the 13th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, said this on Espreso TV.

"The situation in the Lyptsi area is under control. We are not giving the enemy any opportunity to carry out offensive actions in this direction. Instead, we are conducting countermeasures to prevent them in the future," Rysak said.

According to the commander of the strike UAV company of the 13th Brigade, the invading Russian forces are currently using small-group tactics in the Lyptsi direction.
