Ukrainian Forces Advancing In Kupiansk and Pokrovsk

Ukrainian forces in the country's north and east, the Kupiansk and Pokrovsk sectors, have not just stopped the Russians cold but are themselves advancing as the Russians's shortage of manpower and armor continues to take a toll on their capabilities. JL

New Voice of Ukraine reports:

Ukrainian defense forces advanced toward Kupiansk in Kharkiv Oblast within the city itself, as well as advancing near Dvorichna and Krasne Pershe, toward Petropavlivka, Podoly, Kucherivka, Pishchane and Kurylivka,  and on the Pokrovsk axis, in Donetsk near Svitlyi, east of Pokrovsk. Ukrainian troops continue to operate in Myrnohrad and its outskirts.

Ukrainian defense forces advanced toward Kupiansk in Kharkiv Oblast and near Pokrovsk in Donetsk Oblast, according to an assessment by the Institute for the Study of War on Jan. 17.
