The implication is that Putin, facing the imminent Ukrainian counteroffensive, lost patience and had Lukashenko poisoned in order to seize power in Belarus and push its troops to invade northern Ukraine, opening another front and forcing the Ukrainians to respond. But, this may cause a civil war in Belarus, as most of the population appears to tolerate rather than support the Lukashenko-Putin alliance. After a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko was taken to the Central Clinical Hospital of Moscow in critical condition where he is now located. Specialists were sent to him. [His] blood was purified and Lukashenko's condition was proclaimed "not transportable." Measures to save the Belarusian dictator were intended to ward off speculation about possible participation of the Kremlin in his poisoning. Earlier: On 24 May, Lukashenko participated in the Eurasian Economic Forum in Moscow. There, in particular, he said that Russian nuclear weapons had already begun to be transported to Belarus within the framework of bilateral agreements.
