Ukraine's 92nd Assault Brigade Destroys 18 Russian Armor Attacking Bakhmut

The Russians continue to confuse Ukrainian 'shortage' of ammunition with 'absence' of ammunition.

It is not apparent that they have learned the difference yet. JL

Militarnyi reports:

The 2nd Assault Infantry Battalion of the 92nd Assault Brigade stopped a massive Russian assault near Klishchiivka in the Bakhmut sector. The Russian command sent an armored group of 18 vehicles -  infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers with infantry - into the battle. The armored vehicles were stopped by artillery and drones attacking Russian troops on Russian-controlled territory. The fire was adjusted with the help of reconnaissance drones, which Russians were unable to suppress.

Ukrainian troops stopped a massive Russian assault near Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.

Soldiers of the 2nd Assault Infantry Battalion of the 92nd Assault Brigade said that the assault had taken place recently.

The Russian command sent an armored group of at least 18 vehicles into the battle.

“Repelling 18 units of enemy equipment in a few hours is not like buying flowers at a market,” the military noted.

Thus infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers with infantry took part in the battle.

“The enemy does not cease advancing. Russian troops are pressing. They are trying to break through. To enter with equipment and send the infantry. The enemy is trying to enter, to drive in, to swing by. They are trying to knock us out of our positions and kill us. But they will not break the leg,” the soldiers from the Klishchiivka area say.

The Ukrainian military managed to detect the movement of equipment in time. Artillery and drones began attacking Russian troops.

The fire was adjusted with the help of reconnaissance drones, which Russians were unable to suppress.

The Ukrainian military hit most of the vehicles and completely destroyed some of them. It is worth noting that the armored vehicles were stopped on Russian-controlled territory. Perhaps the armored vehicles will be towed away for repairs later.

On February 9, the Ukrainian General Staff said that Defense Forces in this area continue to repel Russian assaults.

“In the Bakhmut sector, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled nine enemy attacks near Andriivka and Klishchiivka,” the General Staff said.

As previously reported, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled a Russian armored assault near Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. The Russian command sent a T-72B tank and a T-62MV tank to assault the settlement.
