Ukrainians Demolish Large Russian Armored Attack Near Bakhmut

The repelled attack was notable both because there has not been as much activity in this sector recently and because of the volume of armor the Russians committed to the assault. 

That it was defeated with considerable damage and heavy casualties suggests the troops were relatively inexperienced and/or incompetent. JL

The 93rd Mechanized Brigade, along with other units repelled one of the largest assaults in recent times in the Bakhmut sector. A dozen and a half heavy vehicles and up to three platoons made up the composition of Russians attacking the brigade's positions near the village of Klishchiivka. Lasting about four hours, the Ukrainian forces efforts resulted in the destruction of 6 Russian T-72 tanks and 6 BMP-2s. One more tank was damaged and there were numerous Russian casualties.

Soldiers of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, along with other units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, repelled one of the largest assaults in recent times in the Bakhmut sector. A dozen and a half heavy vehicles and up to three platoons made up the composition of russian occupiers attacking the brigade's positions near the village of Klishchiivka. Ukrainian soldiers managed to defeat the enemy and hold their positions.

The attack took place in two directions at once. russians used BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles and T-72 tanks. However, the joint efforts of the crews of the Black Raven unmanned systems battalion, the 2nd and 3rd mechanized battalions, with the support of artillery, destroyed the enemy.

The brilliant work of the Defenders of Ukraine, lasting about four hours, resulted in the destruction of 6 T-72 tanks and 6 BMP-2s. One more tank was damaged. The enemy's losses in manpower are being clarified.
