The Russians on boats and rafts are attempting to expand their foothold. Currently, the Russian grouping lacks armored support and stable logistics for supplying ammunition and equipment. This prevents them from securing positions for further assaults on Kupiansk. During a morning battle on Saturday, February 15, six Russian vehicles were disabled in this sector thanks to the coordinated efforts of various Ukrainian units. "The 77th Airmobile Brigade, the 1st Rapid Response Brigade, and the 429th Regiment Achilles were involved. Russian troops were detected in time, and through combined firepower, their assault was disrupted,"Yurii Fedorenko, commander with the 429th Separate Achilles Drone Systems Regiment, reports that active fighting continues in the Kupiansk sector
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The situation in the Dvorichna area is difficult. Taking advantage of harsh weather conditions, such as frost and fog, the Russians are crossing from the left to the right bank on boats and rafts, attempting to expand their foothold. Currently, the Russian grouping lacks armored support and stable logistics for supplying ammunition and equipment. This prevents them from fully securing positions for further assaults on Kupiansk. However, Russian troops continue their attempts. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are conducting round-the-clock strikes on Russian concentration areas and movement routes," Fedorenko stated.
Russian forces are trying to widen the wedge that has formed toward Kruhliakivka. They are constantly launching assault operations using the "carousel" tactic.
"First, the Russians attack using armored vehicles. When Ukrainian forces destroy this equipment, Russian troops deploy highly maneuverable units. Then infantry carries out the next phase of the assault. The Russian army continuously keeps these combinations in motion, attempting to breach the combat formations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces," explained the commander of the Achilles Regiment.
During a morning battle on Saturday, February 15, six Russian vehicles were disabled in this sector thanks to the coordinated efforts of various Ukrainian units holding the line.
"The 77th Airmobile Brigade, the 1st Rapid Response Brigade Bureviy, and the 429th Separate Regiment Achilles were involved. Russian troops were detected in time, and through combined firepower, their assault was disrupted," Fedorenko reported.
He is confident that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be able to halt Russian advance in the short term. However, a full stop requires meticulous efforts from everyone. While the military receives substantial resources through state programs, achieving maximum combat effectiveness also depends on the support of the Ukrainian nation.
- On February 14, the DeepState OSINT project reported that Russian forces made gains on the right bank of the Oskil River in the Kharkiv region, near Dvorichna and Novomlynsk.
