Ukraine Saboteurs Strike Vladivostok Military Base 7,000 Miles From Front Line

Vladivostok in the Far East is Russia's primary base on the Pacific Ocean. It is also home to the 155th Naval Infantry (Marine) Brigade which has been repeatedly accused of war crimes during its participation in the invasion of Ukraine.

The 155th has also been so decimated by Ukrainian forces in a battles including Vuhledar and Kursk that it is reported to have been completely reconstituted as many as a dozen times. That Ukraine's security services chose to strike the brigade's home base far from the front is seen a reminder to the Russian military that the Ukrainian military will neither forget nor forgive the criminal behavior of Russian units.
