Amid Catastrophic Losses At Pokrovsk, Russia Forms All-Women Assault Units

Contrary to traditional Russian military doctrine, the Kremlin is authorizing the use of all women assault units due to the catastrophic troop losses on the Pokrovsk front, where the Russians are losing five times as many soldiers killed and wounded as are the Ukrainians. JL

Russia’s 506th Motorized Rifle Regiment has begun forming assault companies composed of women in the Pokrovsk front sector, described as evidence of “extreme cynicism and catastrophic losses.” This indicates that Russian forces have depleted their supply of mercenaries and contract soldiers, compelling commanders to deploy women as frontline troops. Russia is reportedly losing troops five times faster than are the Ukrainians.

Russia’s 506th Motorized Rifle Regiment has begun forming assault companies composed of women in the Pokrovsk front sector, the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar resistance movement Atesh reported on Telegram on Oct. 24, citing its agents.

Atesh described the development as evidence of “extreme cynicism and catastrophic losses of the enemy.” 

This indicates that Russian forces have depleted their supply of mercenaries and contract soldiers, compelling commanders to deploy women as frontline troops. Their survival depends entirely on the “mercy” of their commanders.

 

Women are also being used for infiltration operations. 

“In the event of a failed assault, they are ordered to change into civilian clothes to conduct reconnaissance and relay information about Ukrainian Defense Forces movements under the guise of civilians,” Atesh said.

As of Oct. 24 morning, the Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces had eliminated 910 Russian soldiers in the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of Russian military personnel killed or wounded since the beginning of the full-scale aggression against Ukraine to 1,135,080.
