Ukraine Reports 'No Reason For Panic' About Pokrovsk, All Scenarios Anticipated

The Ukrainian command is sounding considerably more confident, if not relaxed, about the Pokrovsk situation. Multiple reports say logistics have been restored and that the sector is so heavily covered by drones as well as various scenarios anticipated, that any breach is quickly identified and dealt with. Maps from third party experts have shown no recent changes of significance.

The Russians remain determined to take the city - and perhaps, someday, will do so - but the Ukrainians appear to have prepared for any eventuality. JL

Russia's Pokrovsk offensive has slowed. The intensity of Russian attacks has decreased, but this does not mean that the Russian troops have abandoned their attempts to capture the city. Although the Russian army sometimes breaks through engineering barriers, the command knows these places precisely, so the situation is under control. "There are both plan 'B' and plan 'C' — for all possible scenarios." Syrskyi spends almost all his time near Pokrovsk, and the situation there is assessed three times a day. Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi discussed the situation in Pokrovsk, including if Russia's offensive has slowed and if there are backup plans for a crisis

He reported this to TSN on the evening of November 9.

Syrskyi assured that Pokrovsk is a solid fortified area. According to him, although the Russian army sometimes breaks through engineering barriers, the command knows these places precisely, so the situation is under control.

"Of course, there are both plan 'B' and plan 'C' — for all possible scenarios," the Commander-in-Chief assured.

He added that the intensity of Russian attacks has indeed decreased, but this does not mean that the Russian troops have abandoned their attempts to capture the city. Currently, about 50,000 soldiers are concentrated in the area.

For comparison, since October, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have eliminated about 30,000 Russian troops. In addition, the 425th Assault Regiment is involved in Pokrovsk, effectively defending Ukrainian positions.

Syrskyi also noted that he himself spends almost all his time near Pokrovsk, and the situation there is assessed three times a day.
