Russia Starts New Year At Pokrovsk By Having Another Armored Assault Demolished
There does not appear to be any tactical sense to what the Russian military are doing.

Defense Express reports:
Russian forces launched another mechanized assault in the Pokrovsk sector. The attack involved at least four armored vehicles and a significant number of infantry, but it was decisively repelled by coordinated Ukrainian fire from the 46th Airmobile Brigade through the combined efforts of combat engineers, artillery units, and unmanned systems. Enemy personnel losses included approximately 20 killed and at least three wounded. One Russian tank and two infantry fighting vehicles were destroyed.
