In literally every sector of the front where Russian forces have launched new assaults (given their more modest scale, driven by Russia's human and technological constraints it would be inappropriate to call them offensives) they have been thwarted, driven back and, in many cases, eliminated before they even got to the jump-off point.
The extension of Ukraine's drone-dominated kill zone for several kilometers behind the front line is largely responsible, but Ukrainian artillery and infantry units remain as lethal as they were last year. JL
Yuri Zoria reports in Euromaidan Press:
Ukrainian border guards say inflicted significant losses on Russian assault units near the border with Russia in northern Kharkiv oblast.Russia’s attacks near the Kharkiv border areas of Vovchansk and Hlyboke, as well as in Sumy oblast. Russian losses over the three days of fighting totaled 150 personnel. Of those, 73 Russian troops were killed and 77 were wounded. The Ukrainians used barrel artillery, rocket artillery, strike drones, and small arms to repel the Russian attacks.
Ukrainian border guards say they inflicted significant losses on Russian assault units near the border with Russia according to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (DPSU). The agency reported that Russian forces tried to break through Ukrainian positions from several directions but failed. The fighting unfolded over three days and involved repeated Russian assault attempts.
The fighting in northern Kharkiv Oblast continues as Russia continues its attempts to capture Kupiansk in eastern Kharkiv Oblast and the remainder of Donetsk Oblast. Russia’s attacks near the Kharkiv border areas of Vovchansk and Hlyboke, as well as in Sumy Oblast, are meant to divert Ukrainian resources and attention from other critical fronts.

According to the service, border guards from the Hart brigade held their positions and repelled the assaults using available weapons. DPSU reported that Russian losses over the last three days totaled 150 personnel. Of those, 73 Russian troops were killed and 77 were wounded, the agency said.
Neither DPSU nor the Hart Brigade specified the exact locations of the fighting. The Brigade only said Russian-occupation forces intensified assaults along the South Slobozhanskyi axis, which covers northeastern Ukraine near the border areas of Kharkiv and Sumy oblasts.
The Hart brigade said its servicemembers used barrel artillery, rocket artillery, strike drones, and small arms to repel the Russian attacks. The brigade added that its units continue to block Russian attempts to cross the state border and advance into Ukrainian territory.
