Ukraine Soldiers Captured By Russians Freed By Ukrainian Strike Drones

Ukrainian soldiers in a bunker were surprised and taken prisoner by a Russian reconnaissance group.

But the Russians chose to march the Ukrainians away in broad daylight along a section of the Pokrovsk sector heavily patrolled by Ukrainian aerial drones. The recon drones saw what was happening, summoned strike drones from other units which flew in threatening formation. The Russians panicked and attempted to hide, which gave the Ukrainians the chance to escape. Once the Ukrainians were safe, the Russians were eliminated. JL

Taras Safronov reports in Militarnyi:

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian strike drones freed Ukrainian soldiers who had been captured by a Russian reconnaissance group. An aerial reconnaissance unit patrolling the area detected the group of invaders escorting the captives. Strike drones from the 25th Airborne Brigade, the 68th Jaeger Brigade, and other adjacent units were immediately dispatched to assist. The approach of a swarm of FPV drones disoriented the enemy and diverted their attention. Taking advantage of this, the Ukrainian soldiers managed to break free from enemy captivity.
