The brigade reported this on its social media channels, publishing footage of the combat operation.
The vehicles were struck some time ago in the rear of the Russian forces, near the settlement of Malynivka in the Donetsk region.
The brigade noted that the Russian invaders were attempting to move in convoy, believing they were at a safe distance from the line of contact.
The published footage shows Ukrainian FPV drones destroying the vehicles with direct hits. The damaged vehicles included pickup trucks and light trucks used by Russian forces to transport personnel and provide logistical support.
“The Battalion of Unmanned Systems of the 12th Special Forces Brigade “Azov” once again proves that the kill zone will extend even deeper into the rear. Flee, invader, from Ukrainian soil while you still have something to flee in,” the brigade wrote.
The Exilenova+ monitoring resource published a video filmed by the Russian invaders from this section of the road.
The footage shows the invaders driving past dozens of destroyed vehicles that their predecessors had used in attempts to move near the front line in this area.
Last month, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled a large-scale mechanized assault by Russian forces in the area of responsibility of the 1st Azov Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine.
On July 22, the enemy committed units of the 8th and 41st Combined Arms Armies, as well as the 90th Tank Division of the Russian Armed Forces, to the assault.
To break through Ukrainian defenses, Russian forces committed dozens of armored, automotive, and specialized vehicles.
The offensive unfolded simultaneously from several directions: forces of the 41st Combined Arms Army and the 90th Tank Division advanced from the area of the settlement of Novoekonomichne. Meanwhile, units of the 8th Combined Arms Army launched an attack from the area of the village of Vozdvyzhenka.
