On Kupiansk Front, Ukraine Gains Another 2 Square Km As Russian Losses Rise

Ukrainian forces have gained another two square kilometers on the Kupiansk front as Russian casualties have risen to as many as 150 per day.

These successes underscore the continued offensive performance of the Ukrainians while the Russians suffer additional losses in troops and territory in the north. JL

Gwara Media and Mezha report:
Ukraine's 23rd Assault Regiment of the Khartia Corps have liberated another 2 square kilometers of forest west of Dvorichna in the Kupiansk district. The current advance continues an operation in which the regiment’s troops had previously liberated 7.5 square kilometers of forest west of Dvorichna. The unit also established control over the northern part of Zapadne. Russia is losing 125-150 troops per day in Kharkiv oblast.

Fighters of the 23rd Separate Assault Regiment “R.U.H.” of the Khartia Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine have liberated another 2 square kilometers of forest west of Dvorichna in the Kupiansk district from Russian forces.

The unit published footage on Facebook showing assault groups conducting combat operations in wooded terrain. The troops continue advancing west of Dvorichna, driving Russian occupiers out of their fortified positions.

Clearing Forest Areas on the Kupiansk Front

The results of the operation are confirmed by footage from drones and helmet-mounted cameras. Russian forces were unable to consolidate their positions or launch a counterattack, while Ukrainian assault troops cleared the forest areas they had occupied.

At abandoned enemy positions, the fighters discovered and seized trophies and documents. The regiment continues moving deeper into the forest and evacuating its personnel from the battlefield.

Previous Results of the Operation Near Dvorichna

The current advance continues an operation in which the R.U.H. regiment’s troops had previously liberated 7.5 square kilometers of forest west of Dvorichna. The unit also established control over the northern part of the village of Zapadne.

Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Joint Forces Grouping, previously stated that the Ukrainian military operation north of Kupiansk had made it possible to shrink the Russian bridgehead. This complicated the enemy’s logistics and its attempts to send small infantry groups into the city.
