Ukrainian Air Force Bombs Russian Belgorod Troop Rotation Site - For 5th Time

The result was described by subsequent drone surveillance as 'mincemeat.'

Why Kremlin commanders continue to use the same location for troop and equipment rotations despite its having been bombed five times previously is another Russian military mystery. JL

Roman Pryhodko reports in Militarnyi:

The Ukrainian Air Force struck a gathering of Russian troops in Belgorod oblast, at a location the Russians use to rotate their troops and which Ukrainian aviation has repeatedly targeted at least five times. A Russian BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle, as well as Russian soldiers, were stationed at the intersection during a troop rotation. The strike with a long range, precision-guided J-Dam bomb, hit the target north of Grafivka, Belgorod region, two kilometers from the border of Ukraine.

Sunflower Telegram channel, affiliated with Ukrainian aviation, posted the video of the attack.

The strike was aimed at a location the Russians use to rotate their own troops and which Ukrainian aviation has repeatedly targeted

The strike took place at a time when a Russian BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle, as well as enemy soldiers, were stationed at the intersection.

According to the author of the video, the GBU-62 JDAM-ER long-range precision-guided bomb was used to strike the Russians.

“The place has been shot at repeatedly, and here a whole group went on a rotation, with equipment to the trenches on the left in the landing, and there was already mincemeat five times,” the author notes.

The strike hit the target at coordinates 50.928782, 35.410435 – north of the village of Grafivka, Belgorod region, located about two kilometers from the state border of Ukraine.

It should be noted that in the days around March 20th, 2025, the aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine already struck near the village of Grafivka.

At that time, two Russian bridges were struck with bombs to complicate Russian logistics and troop deployment.

In addition to aviation, the 225th Separate Assault Regiment is currently operating in this area as part of an operation to strengthen defense against the accumulation of the Russian army, which is trying to break through the state border of Ukraine and open a new direction.

On March 19, 2025, in his address, President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the operation in the Belgorod region, which was reported by Russian propagandists who were complaining that the Defense Forces had driven their units out of their positions.

At the time, the President reported that as the enemy was concentrating its forces for new attempts to break through the state border of Ukraine, the Defense Forces were taking proactive steps to prevent the enemy from opening a new direction in Ukraine.
