Over 120 special forces operatives from the 14th Special Forces Brigade of the Russian GRU were eliminated/destroyed as a result of a planned operation conducted on the night of December 26 by the Birds of the 1st Operational Center of the Special Operations Forces in the settlement of Berdianske, temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region. The reconnaissance-strike operation targeting the command post and enemy deployment locations resulted in 51 confirmed killed, 74 wounded, and an undetermined number missing in action.

Special Operations Forces Commander Robert (Madyar) Brovdi reported the information.

"Over 120 special forces operatives from the 14th Special Forces Brigade of the Russian GRU were eliminated/destroyed as a result of a planned operation conducted on the night of December 26 by the Birds of the 1st Operational Center of the Special Operations Forces in the settlement of Berdianske, temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region, according to confirmed operational intelligence," the statement reads.
