Ukrainian Defenders At Pokrovsk Repulsed 50 Russian Assaults In 1 Day

The implication of this report is that the Russians keep trying to attack in the Pokrovsk sector but do not have the mass or scale to effect change in the overall nature of the battle, let alone a breakthrough.

Ukraine’s defense forces repelled 50 assault actions by Russian troops on the Pokrovsk front over the past day. Ukrainian forces neutralized 123 invaders, including 101 killed, the 14th Operational brigade said. Russian troops are trying to infiltrate using small assault groups, mostly one-time “flag-bearing groups,” whose task is to create content claiming the supposed capture of Ukrainian territory. Ukrainian forces are detecting and destroying these and other assault units as soon as they are identified.

Ukraine’s defense forces repelled 50 assault actions by Russian troops on the Pokrovsk front over the past day, the 14th Operational Brigade named after Ivan Bohun (Chervona Kalyna) said on Dec. 19.

Ukrainian forces neutralized 123 invaders, including 101 killed, the brigade said.

It noted that Russian troops are trying to infiltrate using small assault groups.

These are mostly so-called one-time “flag-bearing groups,” whose task is to create content claiming the supposed capture of Ukrainian territory. These fakes are later spread by Russian propagandists.The Ukrainian Armed Forces said they are detecting and destroying these and other assault units of the Russian army.

On Dec. 13, Ukraine’s commander-in-chief, Gen. Oleksandr Syrskyi, said the Defense Forces continue to hold back Russian advances in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration despite growing intensity of enemy pressure.
